GSM LAMP POST STATIC ANALYSIS OF DETAIL
As a result of today’s changing GSM needs, lighting poles have also started to be used as GSM antenna poles. The most practical antenna erection method preferred by GSM companies in settlements is to mount an antenna on a lighting pole that already has a power line. Thus, expansion in coverage area is achieved with low investment cost. However, the preference of this method creates a static analysis problem. The static calculations of the existing lighting poles were made only according to the lighting fixtures constituting the pole and the wind loads affecting the cross-sectional area of the pole. An additional equipment mounted on the mast creates an additional wind load. An additional moment occurs at the anchorage point of the pole caused by the wind load, and these moments must be recalculated and checked according to the TS EN 40-3-3 Lighting Poles – Part 3-2: Design and Verification – Calculation and Verification standard. In this context, our organization performs GSM Lamp Post static-dynamic analyzes in accordance with the relevant standards.
